Hungarian ancestress soil. Well-known Hungarian musicologist and folklorist Laslo Vikar as a participant of sciential expeditions has tremped quite a lot of localities around the Volga-Urals region. Besides picking folksongs he kept his journal nearly on a daily basis. Years arter, the scientist shared his observations with mass readers. He has published in 2002 his diary in Hungarian. The present publication features abstracts from the mentioned book. Before the eyes of a reader the panoramic view of life in the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialistic Republic of 1964, 1966 and 1968 is represented polychromatically.
